Houdini 21's Motion Mixer Blends Clips Without Breaking IK

Houdini 21 adds a Motion Mixer to KineFX for non linear animation blending, alongside Ragdoll Tether constraints and a new Animation Catalog for storing and reusing clips. It is SideFX's answer to a problem every rigger already knows well.
Blending two animation clips, or re timing one against another, has always risked pulling an IK chain out of place. You layer a walk over a turn, or slow down the back half of a jump, and suddenly a foot is floating or a hand has snapped through geometry, and you are re baking the whole sequence to fix a joint that popped somewhere in the middle.
Motion Mixer is built to let you layer and re time clips without that breakage. The IK chains hold their constraints through the blend, so the fix that used to force a full re bake becomes a normal part of the workflow instead of an emergency.
For anyone doing character work in Houdini, that single change removes one of the more tedious loops in a rigger's day, adjust the blend, watch the IK fail, re bake, check again. The Animation Catalog matters too, since reusable clips are only genuinely useful once you can mix them without fear of what it does to the rig. Houdini 21 is the first version where non linear blending in KineFX feels like a tool you would reach for by default, not a workaround you avoid.
