PageGroup Retires Its Name, Rebrands Globally as Michael Page

UK-headquartered recruitment group PageGroup plc confirmed plans to rebrand globally as Michael Page, with the new brand and websites live from 20 July 2026 and the legal name change to Michael Page plc effective from 21 July.

The move consolidates what had been a family of related brands, including Page Executive and Page Personnel, under a single name. Michael Page is the group's original and most established brand, roughly fifty years old, and the company is now using it as the umbrella for divisions that previously traded separately. Listed on the London Stock Exchange, the company confirmed its ticker (PAGE), ISIN, SEDOL and LEI all remain unchanged, so the rebrand is a naming and identity decision rather than a corporate restructure.

CEO Nicholas Kirk framed the change as a move to "a clearer and more unified proposition," language that points at a common problem with multi-brand groups: clients and candidates often cannot tell which sub-brand to approach for which kind of role, and the group ends up spending marketing budget building recognition for names that mean little outside the industry.

Folding sub-brands into a single master brand is a well-worn move in professional services, but PageGroup's version is unusually complete. Rather than keeping Page Executive as a sub-brand under a Michael Page umbrella, the group has retired PageGroup as the corporate name entirely in favour of a brand most people already associate with recruitment on the high street.

For a business built on trust and name recognition, that is a reasonable bet: better to spend on reinforcing one name people already know than to keep explaining how three related brands fit together.

It is also a reminder that a rebrand does not have to mean a new name from nowhere. Some of the strongest rebrands simply admit which name was already doing the work and put the rest of the business behind it.
