Building Marriott's Four Points Flex Tool in React Native and Three.js

Marriott needed a way for independent hotel owners to understand what converting their property to a Four Points Flex would actually look like, room by room, before they committed to anything. We built that as an interactive 3D tool, and the technical decision that shaped everything else was building it for the browser rather than as a downloadable app.

The tool runs on React Native and Three.js, giving us a fully interactive 3D environment that works the same way whether an owner opens it on an office desktop or hands an iPad to a colleague mid-walkthrough. Because it is web based, Marriott's team can send a link rather than asking a hotel owner to install anything, which matters when the audience is independent operators who may never have dealt with Marriott's brand tools before.

Underneath the 3D layer sits a 2D frontend carrying the informational content owners need alongside the visuals, plus a secure backend that lets Marriott's own staff update pricing, finishes and messaging without touching code. That separation kept the project maintainable after launch. Marriott did not need us on retainer to swap out a carpet colour or update a paragraph of copy.

We also built a holiday logo animation for Marriott using AI tools, placing the Marriott "M" into festive global settings to represent the brand's international reach. It is a smaller piece of work than the conversion tool, but it came from the same team and the same production pipeline, which is typical of how these relationships work in practice: a big interactive build gets followed by ongoing video editing, event graphics and marketing collateral.

The conversion tool itself is still live and in use by Marriott's franchise development team. Choosing web over native meant it could ship faster, update without an app store review cycle, and reach an audience that was never going to download a one-off enterprise app in the first place.
